CRF Supervisor:
Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Supervisor at our Concentrate Receiving Facility, which is a part of our Vale operations. This is a full-time permanent position available with competitive wages and a benefits package.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety meetings to ensure awareness and compliance with health and safety policies and project standards.
- Delegate workloads, manage employee schedules, and participate in the creation of the construction workforce through the hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of workers.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Safely operate and maintain crushers, screening plants, excavators, and front-end loaders.
- Complete daily inspections and reporting of production.
- Perform mandatory pre and post vehicle inspections.
- Identify, report and correct hazards.
- Use a respirator which must be worn in accordance with policies, procedures and Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- Team player and display professionalism toward our company and customers.
- Must maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment.
- Physical work including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, crouching, climbing, crawling and reaching repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Work shifts including days shifts and occasional night shifts.
- Work in accordance and reinforce compliance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as required.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Valid G Class Driver’s License is required.
- Valid certification to operate the required equipment.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Surface Miner Common Core is considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work on Vale property and successfully complete required training and certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites such as Excel and Word.
- Strong knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment is required.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be familiar with aspects of maintenance of crushing and screening equipment.
- Must be willing to remove all facial hair (if applicable) for respirator fit test and remain clean shaven when required to wear a respirator.
