Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee who is detail-oriented and reliable to fill the position of Storeroom Clerk. The Storeroom Clerk position requires a high level of motivation, professionalism, and independence. This is a Full-time permanent position and comes with competitive wages and a benefits package.

Job Duties:

• Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials, equipment, and supplies. Including tool crib inventory level checks, daily.
• Perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Complete counts on all consumable inventory items for accuracy as per cycle count process.
• Track issues and maintain non-inventory repaired items.
• Receive inbound material, verifying part accuracy, quantity, and quality.
• Store material in an optimal location considering size and safety.
• Inform the Purchasing Team of any inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective material that would impact production.
• Communicate with the Purchasing Team to organize procurement of required materials and equipment as stock begins to get low
• Monitor high usage items and help to reduce costs.
• Distribute materials and equipment to various sites and departments as needed.
• Follows 5S- Straighten, Sort, Set in Order, Standardize, and Shine.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work areas clean.
• Various other related duties as assigned by supervisor such as opening containers & crates, preparing orders, inventory, etc.
• Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Scheduled shifts of 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
• Overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Minimum three (3) year experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) is required.
• Valid G Class driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in English and French, both verbal and written in order to carry out responsibility of the job including but not limited to handling invoices, processing orders and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Experience in Receiving and inventory management is required.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and heavy truck is considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Ability to contribute effectively to any/all team efforts.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl.
• Repetitive lifting, carrying and positioning of product (weight up to 50 lbs or 22 kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.
• Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
• Ability to handle multiple demands in a challenging and fast paced- team orientated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suites such as Excel and Word.
